Gorilla Tag is designed to be played in virtual reality

Another Axiom's action game Gorilla Tag requires players to exert physical exertion. Here, you assume the role of a gorilla that will pursue other players throughout a tropical playground.

Gorilla Tag is designed to be played in virtual reality. You will utilize a unique mode of locomotion that requires the use of your limbs and hands. Nevertheless, VR equipment is required. Don't fret, however.
Gorilla Tag, as its name implies, is a game of tag. However, everyone is a gorilla that defies gravity and scales the environment. In this game, your objective is to survive with the limbs that existence has provided you. One player is infected and entrusted with infecting other players by tagging them. Meanwhile, the remaining participants must avoid being tagged and infected.

There are three modes available. Casual mode is more of a social game, allowing for practice, meeting new acquaintances, and socializing. In the infection phase, you attempt to infect as many other players as possible. The hunt mode allows you to pursue a monkey by glancing at your wristwatch. You can hang out with random people in a virtual, low-resolution jungle or create a private room with your pals.

Despite the simplicity of the mechanics, the movements must be mastered. No buttons, joysticks, or teleportation are present. To navigate the virtual environment, physical movement is required. Even then, precise coordination is required. Naturally, you can initiate the game in desktop mode if you wish to forego the full-body workout that the VR mode provides. This eliminates the need for a VR headset.
